Meet the jungle lizard
In real life he is a gigantic lizard that lives on a huge teapot in the Wisconsin-based "House on the Rock" .
I sketched him last year when we were there and he just seemed perfect for the theme of "jungle".

"turist, go home!"
very nice drawing, teri
If the lizard wants tea, then we had better provide some biscuits and polite conversation too. (plus I think the lizard will keep the flies away...)

COOL and WONDERFULLY DONE!!!! Love the colors too Teri!
This is great! I love the colors, and I love the intertwining bits of foliage around him.
I agree good post girl! Have a good weekend!

I love how disproportionate the turtles head is.
Brilliant Teri, and thankyou so much for you kind words, hugs Judy x
love the texture! great illo!
I would venture to guess he really likes tea!I would not offer him a sugar cube though. Great lizard and I love the handle on the teapot!
Neat!
The lizzard looks a little put out.

I like him! :-)
Looks like he/she would be very much at ease in any jungle, fearsome looking and a beatiful color-looks like violet. Your sketches and enthusiasm for capturing the moment are inspiring!
I love his colouring, and actually, I think he's kinda cute! I like him!
Teri what an awesome post! I love your interpretation of this lizard on the teapot and love the colours too. This amazing place that you went to is unlike anything I have ever seen!!! You must have loved it! I would like to see this rock house.
