These flowers are a memory from Minneapolis when my granddaughter graduated from the University. Part of that weekend was visiting the Botanical Gardens where I took a photo and did these flowers in colored pencil on black paper.
Happy Illustration Friday!

STUNNING!!!!!!! Almost like stained glass, Teri!! Black is DEFINTELY your color!
Blue flowers are my favorite! I thought these were forget-me-nots at first. I think you must have been a gardener in a previous life. Your art is alive when you paint botanicals!
They look nice on the black paper. It is great when art can bring us back to a time and place in our past.
Very pretty, Teri. :-)
Are they forget-me-nots? Very beautiful.
I am really not sure if they are forget-me-nots but I am going to say they are because then it works even more perfectly for 'memories' :)
Thanks!
Lolo, lol, maybe I was because this is the only way I can get flowers to grow-on paper. lol
Wow, those dark backgrounds are so dramatic, love the little white buds!
Btw, Teri, did you see on Wordle that there is a FAQs page? That's how I found out how to copy the image - I've got Vista and it was quite easy...eventually!
Love the pattern this creates and the 'mystery' created by the black background.
wonderful! that reminds me I should go out and water my flowers.
this black is your true background, wow!!
its blooming tuesday every day in your life, so happy blooming friday!
Aaahh, wonderful! Such a nice fluidity to it. These look like part of a hydrangea bloom to me, but I like the idea of forget-me-nots better. :)
I love your black background drawings and this one is so beautiful.
Yep, I am lovin' that black paper. It just makes your flowers pop.
Beautiful...the blue on black is just great!!!
The colors are striking. Nice drawing.
Oh my Teri, these are lovely, but what am I saying...I wouldn't expect anything less!

These are very lovely, I love how they are on the black background. What a lovely way to capture a memory.
Teri,
This drawing with coloured pencils is very striking,
I love the vivid blue, and the thought that these flowers may be forgetmenots, fits well with the theme of memory!
